RESOLUTIONA RESOLUTION AMENDING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE QUALITY OF WATER AND USE AND ENJOYMENT OF LAKE ATHENS WHEREAS, the Directors of Athens Municipal Water Authority did adopt certain “RULES AND REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE QUALITY OF WATER AND USE AND ENJOYMENT OF LAKE ATHENS”, and WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the Rules and Regulations for the protection of the Authority and to ensure the safety and enjoyment of those utilizing said Lake for recreation or other purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ATHENS MUNICIPAL WATER AUTHORITY That ARTICLE 8. STRUCTURES, SECTION 1. STRUCTURES of said Rules and Regulations shall be amended to add the word “heat exchangers” after the word “pumps” to read: 1. STRUCTURES. No structures of any type, whether temporary or permanent, shall be permitted on Authority property other than piers, pavilions, boathouses, boat ramps, fences, retaining walls, pumps, heat exchangers, and light poles, and no such structures shall be constructed or maintained on Authority property without a permit issued for the current calendar year specifically providing therefore. And that ARTICLE 8. STRUCTURES, SECTION 1. STRUCTURES of said Rules and Regulations shall be amended to include: (B) A heat exchanger shall be located totally within the confinements of a pier or boathouse. Closed systems shall use only distilled water and shall be totally submerged at elevation 435 feet mean seal level (msl). All repairs to heat exchangers shall require a permit issued by inspector. And that ARTICLE 25. FEE STRUCTURES, SECTION 3. PIER DOCK, BOATHOUSE, PAVILION FEES AND EXISTING BOAT LAUNCHES of said Rules and Regulations shall be amended to add the word “heat exchangers” after the word “Pavilion” in the title to read: 3.
